About
Jalan Industries is a fourth-generation family-led group that oversees several tea-producing companies, including Jalannagar Development Pvt. Ltd. (Chota Tingrai and Tingamira Tea Estates), Dinjoye Tea Estate Pvt. Ltd., Durrung Tea Estate Pvt. Ltd., and Jalannagar South Tea Estate Pvt. Ltd. These traditional tea companies manufacture and supply teas to both domestic and international markets.
Mana Ventures is the innovation arm of the group, focused on value addition, new product and market development, and tea-related technology. Alongside it, Mana Organics leads our efforts in organic, sustainable agriculture and community development across our estates. It also owns a premium organic tea brand, with retail operations in India and the USA through Mana Organics USA.
Our Tea Estates
CHOTA TINGRAI
Chota Tingrai Tea Estate was established in 1943. It is located in the Tinsukia district, along with its satellite garden Tingamira. It produces all types of Assam teas and is known for its unique Japanese style Green teas, specialty teas and high quality organic teas.
DURRUNG
Durrung Tea Estate is located in Sonitpur district. It was established in 1864, making it one of Assam's oldest tea estates. Located in the Sonitpur District, Durrung is known for its premium quality Assam CTC teas.
DINJOYE
Dinjoye Tea Estate was established in 1923. It is located in the Dibrugarh district and is our heritage property. Dinjoye produces 100% Assam orthodox teas.
JALANNAGAR SOUTH
Jalannagar South Tea Estate is located in Dibrugarh. In addition to its own production, it also works with local small growers to produce CTC teas.
We are a family of tea growers with a legacy since 1943, proudly producing high-quality teas from our flagship Chota Tingrai Tea Estate in Assam’s Tinsukia district — part of the Jalan Industries Group.
Alongside crafting exceptional teas, we are deeply committed to sustainability and community impact. Our 100 hectares of organic tea are grown using on-site input production, promoting biodiversity, zero-waste practices, and social mobility across our workforce. With full transparency and traceability, we aim to make tea sourcing simple — and the experience, deeply rewarding.
OUR HOSPITALITY VENTURES
THE RED BARI
The Red Bari is a multi-level creative house in a restored heritage building. Each floor is designed to host a different rhythm of the city: coworking, test kitchens, concept retail, cultural salons, and studio spaces. More than a venue, it’s an ecosystem where builders, artists, chefs, thinkers, and doers find space, meet each other, and bring their ideas to life. It’s Calcutta—current and in motion.

DURRUNG POST CARD HOTEL
In January 2025, we partnered with The Postcard Hotel Group to open The Postcard in the Durrung Tea Estate. Once the Director’s Bungalow, the property has been thoughtfully restored into a 12-room boutique hotel surrounded by 1400 acres of tea gardens. Known for producing some of the world’s finest teas, the estate now offers guests a serene stay with private patios, endless brews, and a front-row view of life on the plantation — all while preserving the rich heritage of Assam’s tea legacy.
